Around 120 tonnes of paper is believed to have been stored in the warehouse.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue confirmed that 120 tonnes of baled recycled paper had caught fire and 15 vehicles had attended the scene. The fire is expected to last for a few days.

The fire had been contained to a quarter of the building, but it remains too dangerous to enter.

As a result of the fire, a household recycling centre belonging to Norfolk County Council which is next to M W White, has had to be closed until it is safe to use again.
