The chief executive of London recycling company First Mile has highlighted how technology has helped his business grow at a major event in the United States.
Bruce Bratley spoke alongside Yahoo chief executive Marissa Mayer and Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg at Dreamforce 2013 in California following an invitation from software provider Salesforce.
The event in San Francisco is the world’s largest on technology and had 130,000 attendees this year.
In his presentation, Transforming Trash to Cash, Bruce shared how technology had helped him to revolutionise the way commercial and industrial waste is collected in London.
He said: “I was thrilled to be invited by Salesforce to speak in San Francisco. Embracing technology has allowed us to grow quickly and help thousands of London businesses recycle and it’s fantastic to be able to share our story on such a global platform as Dreamforce.”
