Former ECO Plastics employee joins Cycle Link UK sister company

Andrew Swainston has been appointed as commercial director of W.R.Fibers UK, which is the sister company of Cycle Link UK and part of the Chinese packaging company Shangying Group.

He was previously head of purchasing at ECO Plastics and is joining a company that exports plastics and metals to China and the Far East.

Cycle Link is a major exporter of paper and cardboard and it operates joint offices with W.R.Fibers in UK, China, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.

In his new role, Andrew Swainston will lead the strategic direction of the plastics business, developing integrated offerings to existing and new clients.

He said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining WR Fibres UK and I’m looking forward to making the business a leader in the plastics market. By utilising the shared strength and resources across the group, we aim to bring added value to our clients through multi-material sourcing opportunities.”

Cycle Link UK managing director Lai En added: “We are delighted that Andrew is joining us. His knowledge and experience compliments our team well, and he will be a real asset to our business at a time of continued growth.”
