Retailer H&M and the London College of Fashion are to launch the first Fashion Recycling Week from 31 August to 6 September.
Students from the London College of Fashion’s (LCF) Centre for Sustainable Fashion have been asked to create window installations from garments collected at H&M stores for recycling.
The designs created by the students will be displayed in the windows of eight H&M stores across Britain.
LCF Centre for Sustainable Fashion manager Renee Cuoco said: “It has been an incredible opportunity for the students to explore sustainability from both a conceptual and industry perspective.
“The students’ work showcases creative approaches in encouraging people to value their clothes as the precious resources they are.”
