Little change for metals but some optimism as copper is up

After falls in many metals over recent days, there was more stability on the LME yesterday.

Three-month copper was up to $7,421 (£4,742) from Monday’s $7,334 (£4,685).

Aluminium was down a little to $2,082 (£1,331) from $2,098 (£1,340) on Monday. Alloy increased to $1,960 (£1,253) on Tuesday from $1,950 (£1,246) the day before.

Lead fell on Tuesday to $1,998 (£1,277) from $2,025 (£1,294) the day before. Nickel was up to $17,800 (£11,375) yesterday from Monday’s $17,650 (£11,275).

Tin was lower at $20,655 (£13,200) yesterday compared to Monday’s $20,795 (£13,284). Zinc increased a touch to $1,935 (£1,237) from $1,930 (£1,233).

Steel was unchanged at $520 but increased £2 to £334.
