Liz Truss remains as Environment Secretary

The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will continue to be Liz Truss.

Prime Minister David Cameron has confirmed that the Conservative MP for South West Norfolk will remain in post.

After becoming an MP in 2010, her first ministerial role was as a Junior Minister in the Department for Education.

Then in July 2014, she replaced Owen Paterson as Environment Secretary.

Other Defra ministers are expected to be announced in the coming days when the minister responsible for resources will be confirmed.
