Metals continue to edge lower

The value of metals continued to move downwards as there appeared to be little evidence of the euro crisis being resolved.

Three-month copper was down to $7,618 (£4,884) on Tuesday from $7,644 ($4,885) on Monday.

Aluminium was a touch lower at $2,022 (£1,296) yesterday compared to Monday’s $2,030 (£1,297). Alloy was down to $1,900 (£1,218) on Tuesday from $1,930 (£1,233) a day earlier.

Lead was a tiny amount down yesterday to $2,095 (£1,343) from $2,107 (£1,346). Nickel increased to $18,410 (£11,803) from $18,270 (£11,676).

Tin was down to $19,550 (£12,534) from $19,800 (£12,653) while zinc dropped to $1,936 (£1,241) from $1,962 (£1,254).

Steel increased to $565 (£362) from $560 (£358).
