Recycle for London has launched a new campaign that aims to encourage householders to buy a bin specifically for their recycling at home.
The campaign, labelled ” One bin is rubbish-sort it out”, is run by Resource London and aims to inspire householders who suffer from, what they call “bin-digestion”- piling recyclable materials around the bin.
Recycle for London has conducted a survey to discover people’s recycling habits at home and discovered that over one third of the people questioned saying they would recycle more if they had a bin for it at home.
Over half also stated that they suffered from “bin-digestion”.
The campaign provides “bin hacks” including re-using cardboard, wine carriers to store glass bottles neatly for recycling and using bags for life to store bottles for recycling.
