Specialist waste technology company PyroPure has made new appointments ahead of its commercial launch later this year.

Paul Levett is joining the company as non executive chairman. He has over 25 years experience in the waste management and recycling industry.

Levett was previously deputy chief executive of Veolia Environmental Services for over four years and was director of Cleanaway UK.

Mark Thompson will also be joining the board as a non executive director with extensive experience in the waste sector through previous roles as a fund manager with Impax Capital Group and Isis Asset Management.

PyroPure chief executive Andrew Hamilton said: “We believe the company will benefit greatly from both of these appointments, Paul and Mark’ s extensive experience in the waste sector will be critical in the next phase of our development which will involve the commercial launch of the technology into the UK market and then overseas once regulatory approval has been obtained.”
