Huge falls were seen in key paper grades in last week’s Intelligence report.
OCC dropped by £24 per tonne and mixed paper was down by £23 per tonne.
With shipping costs rising again and demand from the Far East dropping off, prices dropped rapidly.
Falls were also seen in plastics grades, with PET and HDPE bottles both coming off by £10 per tonne and LDPE 98/2 losing £30 per tonne.
Copper also fell by £300 per tonne and brass was down £200 per tonne.
