Last week’s Intelligence report showed that there had been some big jumps seen for the price of recyclate in China.

Due to the lack of containers, local markets in China have been pushed up helping to increase the demand for export material if buyers can get it.

However, the same cannot be said of the UK where paper and metals prices have come down.

OCC and mixed paper both came down by £4 per tonne, while news & pam eased back by £2 per tonne.

After recent rallies, copper eased back by £50 per tonne while brass and aluminium were down by £25.

Ferrous prices though have increased by about £20 per tonne.

Plastic grades remained stable last week.
