There wasn’t any obvious trend in the market for secondary commodity prices, according to last week’s Intelligence report.
OCC kept going up in price, gaining another £5 per tonne, while mixed paper only gained a pound.
While PET bottles increased by £20 per tonne, HDPE bottles lost £30 per tonne and LDPE 98/2 £20 per tonne.
In metals, copper, brass and aluminium grades all lost £50 per tonne. But cans which tend to have their prices set monthly, saw an increase of £30 per tonne for steel and £80 for aluminium reflecting LME price rises seen in the preceding month.
