Three North American automotive recycling organisations are to unify their respective accreditation and certification programmes for professional automotive recyclers.

It is hoped by the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA), Automotive Recyclers of Canada (ARC) and the United Recycler’s Group that this unified programme will become an international standard.

ARA chief executive Michael E. Wilson said: “This will serve to bring increased industry unification and recognition to professional automotive recyclers who operate at the highest level of the industry.

“We look to this as a preeminent accreditation programme that would be a model for other international automotive recycling organisations, as well as to governments of countries across the globe.”

ARA will be responsible for enrolling automotive recyclers from around the world to join the CAR Gold Seal Accreditation Alliance through the adoption of the united CAR Gold Seal certification standards.
