Last week’s Resource Efficient Business Intelligence report saw price increases in some key paper and metal grades.

OCC increased by £1 per tonne, while mixed paper continued to be of focus and increased by a further £2 last week.

Copper was up by £100 per tonne after recent weeks of price falls, while aluminium scrap grades were up by £50 per tonne. No movement was seen in aluminium can prices however.

After the volatility seen in May and early-June, the key plastics grades of PET and HDPE bottles, plus LDPE 98/2 film, have been steady now for three weeks in a row.
