OCC price falls as copper and brass prices rise

The price of OCC fell by £23 per tonne last week as weakening demand hit the market.

Other paper grades were largely stable with mixed continuing to see some demand keeping its price at the same level as the previous week.

Plastic prices were unchanged, but following the release of the Q2 packaging data the week before, there was interest to see whether the plastic PRN value would change.

Copper and brass grades both saw price increases. Copper was up by £300 per tonne, while brass increased by £100 per tonne.
