Paper grades creep up in otherwise calm market

OCC and mixed paper both saw price increases last week in a market that was relatively stable.

Mixed paper increased by £3 per tonne as paper traders saw value in buying this material following recent price increases for OCC.

Indeed, OCC still continued to creep up with another pound added to its value.

Copper fell by £50 per tonne, but most other grades were stable as were all plastics.

As we head into May, our paper and plastic forecast prices are suggesting some grades will jump up higher, but others will either stay where they are or fall back a bit.
