Last week’s Intelligence report showed a number of recyclable commodities increasing in price.

While bottle grades were largely stable, price increases were seen for both HDPE Regrind and PP Regrind.

However, these price rises were confined to the higher quality material, with poor quality material struggling to find a home. Indeed, grades such as jazz film, mixed carrier bakgs and mixed hard plastics are now in gate fee rather than income territory.

Better quality film grades were largely stable.

The price of OCC stayed where it was this week, but mixed paper picked up by £7 per tonne as buyers sought more value in the market.

Both copper and brass grades were up with the former up significantly, but LME price falls suggest the scrap price will come down too.
