A survey undertaken by RECOUP at the recent PRE conference found that 65% of plastic recycling professionals want to stay in the EU.
At the conference, delegates were asked to place their empty drinks bottles in recycling containers marked either remain or leave.

The bins sparked debate on how the decision would affect future investment in manufacturing, imports and exports, and the recycling industry in the UK.
RECOUP communications manager Anne Hitch said: “The Remain and Brexit decision will directly affect how the UK priorities recycling, sustainability and circular economy development, and it was interesting to hear the frank discussion from delegates about the affects the EU referendum could have.”
