New Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has named Kerry McCarthy MP as the new Shadow Environment Secretary.

The Bristol East MP was elected in 2005 and just last week placed a Ten Minute Rule Motion to reduce food waste in front of the House of Commons (see here).

Before joining Parliament, she worked as a lawyer and then as head of public policy at a consultancy.

Wigan MP Lisa Nandy has been appointed as Shadow Energy & Climate Change Secretary. Before being elected in 2010, she worked in the voluntary sector and was a senior adviser at The Children’s Society prior to becoming an MP.

While Wallasey MP Angela Eagle is the new Shadow Business Secretary. Before being elected in 1992, she worked for the trade union CoHSE (now Unison).
