Last week was a difficult week for the price of plastics, but some materials did see an increase.
Key plastics grades such as PET and HDPE bottles as well as LDPE 98/2 film all saw a further £5 fall on the back of weaker export demand.
Metal grades such as copper and brass also saw price falls with £50 per tonne coming off the former and £25 off the latter.
Aluminium cans were up however by £35 per tonne.
While £3 per tonne came off news & pam, the increased predicted for mixed paper in Intelligence the week before did indeed come to pass. Another £2 per tonne was added to the price of this grade, while OCC remained stable.
