Waste generated during the Games will be collected and delivered to the different plants for sorting.

The sorted cardboard, paper and plastics will then be pressed into bales using the Presona balers and will then be recycled into a secondary raw material.

Delivery of the Swedish balers will take place in late autumn and the equipment will be installed and ready by December 2013.

After the Games, the waste handling plants will be in operation as an integrated part of the waste handling system in the Krasnodar region.

The 2014 Olympic Winter Games takes place from 7-23 February 2014.
