The price of many recycled materials stabilised last week, but not for all grades.
While PET and HDPE bottles stayed where they were the previous week, LDPE film came down across 99/1, 98/2, 95/5 and jazz grades.
Within plastics, prices also came down for HDPE Regrind, UK wheelie bins and HIPS.
Paper grades were stable with the weakening pound helping to keep prices where they were, although the underlying picture would probably have seen price fall by £1 or £2 if it wasn’t for the boost given by the stronger dollar.
Copper actually increased last week gaining £50 per tonne, while brass fell back £50. Aluminium lost £25 per tonne.
