He has been with Aylesford for 17 years joining the team at the very beginning of the Aylesford Newsprint story. He began working with the company just as PM14 was taking shape and has been an important part of the company’s development since. More recently as head of recycling hehas steered Aylesford through the dual challenges experienced by all reprocessors of record fibre costs combined with fluctuating arisings.

Perkins said: “Aylesford has been a part of my life for nearly two decades. It would be easy for me to stay here and carry on doing what I do. However, there comes a time when you seek new challenges – and for me that time is now.

“I’m happy to be staying in the paper recycling business as I’ve enjoyed my time at Aylesford – it’s a great team with a real motivation to get recycling right and there are lots of developments on the horizon in terms of new products and sorting facilities. I wish the team well.”
