Berry launches recyclable plastic bottle

Packaging producer Berry Global Group has launched a rectangular plastic bottle it says is fully recyclable and can be made from recycled material.

The firm’s Domino bottle is manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE), up to 100 per cent of which can be post-consumer plastic.

Designed for the home, beauty and personal care market, the 250ml container includes a 75mm-wide front face and customisable side panels.

This allows all four sides of the container to be printed, maximising opportunities for brands to create high-impact shelf presence.

Berry said the Domino bottle was “fully recyclable where appropriate collection schemes exist”.

Its neck is suitable for a variety of caps and closures, the firm added, while the rectangular shape allows for more efficient stacking.

Joe Horton, sales and marketing director at Berry Agile Solutions, said: “In a retail environment where consumers are influenced by how brands are presented on the shelf, impactful packaging and graphic design is critical.

“We want companies to be able to easily create eye-catching designs in line with their own brand objectives. Domino helps brands quickly respond to current consumer trends and create the wow-factor at lower cost.”
