Materials collected by the council in Lincolnshire include paper, cardboard, plastics, food and drink cans, textiles and mixed glass.

Casepak joint managing director Mark Smith said: “We’ve installed the best technology here at Casepak and it is already proving popular. It enables us to be both competitive and flexible in our approach and in this instance it has helped us to make significant savings for South Holland District Council.”

The contract allows for the option of a three-year extension if the partnership proves successful.
