The Chinese Government has reiterated that it intends to take a tougher line on illegal imports of foreign waste.

In a statement, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment said: “The border controls on illegal foreign garbage will be intensified and the entire process in the industry will be inspected.”

The Ministry has approved two plans to restrict imports of foreign waste. These include an Action Plan for 2018-2020 that will gradually see imports reduced . . .
