The Ministry of Environmental Protection in China is being discarded in favour of a new Ministry of Ecological Environment.
This new ministry will take extra responsibility including on environmental enforcement, compiling and implementation of China's ecological environment, plans and standards and law enforcement.
It will also be responsible for inspections of central authorities on environmental protection.
The new department has been created as part of a reshuffle of Chinese Government ministries, announced at the 13th National People's Congress . . .
