With two sites in Alsace in north eastern France, Corplex Recycling processes 15,000 tonnes of polymers per year. It shreds, pelletises, densifies and compounds plastics at its facilities.

It recycles PE, PP, PS and PC.

Corplex chief executive Lucas van der Schalk said: “Through this acquisition, we confirm our vision to accelerate the transition to a circular economy for plastics.”

Previously known as DS Smith Plastics, it became Corplex when acquired by US private equity firm Olympus Partners in March last year.

The company operates out of seven sales and manufacturing sites in France, UK, Spain, Slovakia and the USA.
