A local authority in the South West is to collect old pots and pans for recycling.
Mid Devon District Council announced a three-month trial of the initiative to selected properties.
Homes in parts of Uffculme and Willand will be able to leave old unusable pots and pans on top of recycling bins.
Running from 28 February to 23 May, the trial is part of moves to build on increased recycling rates in the area.
In October 2022, Mid Devon moved to only collecting general refuse once every three weeks.
The council’s recycling rate has since hit 58 per cent but it wants to go further.
Councillor Josh Wright said: “Our community has made fantastic progress in recycling more, and we want to keep that momentum going.
“This trial is just one of the ways we are looking to make it even easier for residents to recycle everything they can. We appreciate everyone’s participation and feedback as we test this new collection.”
