Entrepreneur set to create new plastic recycling business

A Sheffield-based entrepreneur is setting up a new company that will recycle mixed and unsorted plastic.

According to the Yorkshire Post, Kevin Parkin will create this business that will take plastic and recycle it into construction products.

He said: “The price of plastics has increased phenomenally over the last 12 to 18 months. We need to be in a position where we can compete with Chinese manufacturers and give value for money to building companies. We’ve got to be in a position where we’re taking waste plastic and selling it back as recycled product.”

The company will be called R3 Products. Kevin Parkin previously turned around struggling engineering firm DavyMarkham.
