After going into administration, WEEE processor Overton Recycling has been bought by Environcom.

As a result, 50 jobs have been saved and Environcom’s senior management is working in partnership with the staff at Stourbridge-based Overton Recycling to ensure the smooth transition of the company into Environcom.

It means WEEE recycler Environcom now has a third site to add to its existing facility at its base in Grantham and a second site at Edmonton in London.

Environcom chief executive Sean Feeney said: “We’re delighted to have acquired Overton Recycling, which will not only increase Environcom’s processing capacity but will also secure key recycling jobs in the industry. We’re looking forward to bringing it into the Environcom fold and becoming part of our philosophy to do the right thing with WEEE so it doesn’t cost the earth.”
