The organisation set up to oversee extended producer responsibility for packaging waste is looking for a chief strategy officer and 45 specialist advisers.
PackUK, which launched in January, advertised the key positions online last week.
A LinkedIn post said the chief strategy officer would be a “leader at the heart of one of the most important and powerful environmental reforms of our time”.
“The successful candidate will be someone with direct and extensive experience of the recycling and packaging sectors, including experience working in or with the producers who will be at the heart of this scheme,” it added.
“You will need to be able to connect with people regardless of their background, and you will have excellent networking and collaboration skills to ensure operational excellence and business delivery is achieved in a complex and unpredictable environment.”
Salary for the role is between £76,000 and £117,800 per year.
Meanwhile PackUK opened to expressions of interest in joining three panels that will help guide its work.
The scheme administrator said 15 positions would be available in each of the Recyclability Assessment Methodology Technical Advisory Committee; the Effectiveness and Efficiency Technical Advisory Committee; and the Communications and Behaviour Change Advisory Group.
