Far Eastern acquisition to boost Shropshire firm’s recycling capacity

Shropshire-headquartered household-good manufacturer Cedo has acquired Vietnamese recycler Vinatic.

The British firm said the deal would significantly boost its capacity to recover and reuse plastic waste.

It will also help Cedo ensure a stable supply of material to its factories.

The Shropshire firm already has manufacturing sites in the UK, Poland, the Netherlands and Vietnam.

Cedo chief executive Thierry Navarre said: “This acquisition represents a pivotal milestone in our strategic journey towards becoming one of the largest integrated circularity platforms for flexible plastic films.

“Vinatic’s expertise and infrastructure in plastic recycling are invaluable assets that will significantly enhance our ability to give plastic waste a second life.

“This acquisition not only solidifies our position as an industry leader, but strengthens our commitment to sustainability globally.”

He added that the deal would support efforts to improve the infrastructure for collection and processing of flexible plastic waste in Vietnam.
