Insolvency firm Duff & Phelps has been appointed as administrators of food recycling firm Nutrafeed.
Around 20 jobs have been lost at the business, which had operations in Wrexham and Corby.
The firm had clients including Kelloggs, Silver Spoon and Weetabix and turned waste food either into new animal feed products, into compost or into a energy fuel.
Administrators are currently looking to sell the assets of the business after being appointed on 20 August.
Nutrafeed was acquired in 2010 for £2 million by Brian Souter, who founded the Stagecoach transport company.
