The Government of Indonesia has decided to suspend planned recycled paper inspections that were due to begin on 1 April 2019.
It had previously announced that it would introduce a 0.5% contamination threshold on imports of OCC and mixed paper, and introduce 100% inspections on material.
This would be a similar process to that introduced by China in 2018.
However, the country has now issued a notice to say it it suspending these measures “until further notice”.
