Corrugated shipping containers manufacturer Green Bay Packaging has announced that it has begun construction on a new paper mill in Wisconsin, US.
The company has said that it will invest $500m into the new mill, which is set to replace its existing recycled paper mill.
Of that amount, $475m will be invested into the construction, which is hoped to be completed in three years.

The remainder of the investment will be put towards the expansion of the company’s shipping container division.
Green Bay Packaging president and chief executive Will Kress said: “We are proud to officially begin construction of our new, state-of-the-art paper mill in the city where our company was founded over 85 years ago.
“This new facility is the result of the continued hard work and success of our dedicated employees and loyal customers.”
