This Chempet technology depolymerises the PET-based feedstock allowing it to be turned into high-quality PET for the chemical and food industry.

Garbo chief executive Guido Fragiacomo said: “This agreement allows Chempet to consolidate its industrial leadership in chemical recycling through the immediate industrialization of a 45,000 tonnes per year plant and the development of technology licensing on a global scale.

“Chempet technology is born from Garbo’s more than twenty years of expertise and R&D investments in the recovery processes of industrial chemical by-products and waste.”
