Charity Keep Britain Tidy has said that England should learn from the example of Wales to boost its recycling rate.
It suggested that recycling rates are low in England because there are too many recycling collection schemes that are confusing, while Wales achieves high recycling rates due to it having a nationwide recycling blueprint.
Keep Britain Tidy deputy chief executive Richard McIllwain told the BBC: “It’s very difficult to have a national conversation about what we can recycle and what should be recycled when everyone is doing something different.”
