Metals creep up on LME

The price of most metals on the LME was up slightly yesterday.

Three-month copper increased to $7,519 (£4,795) on Thursday from $7,425 (£4,731) the day before.

Aluminium was up slightly to $1,985 (£1,266) yesterday from $1,980 (£1,262) a day earlier. Alloy increased to $1,910 (£1,218) from Wednesday’s $1,900 (£1,211).

Lead was up to $1,975 (£1,260) from $1,960 (£1,249). Nickel moved up to $18,875 (£12,038) from $18,540 (£11,813).

Tin also increased to $19,100 (£12,181) from $19,075 (£12,154). Zinc was the only faller, dropping to $1,862 (£1,188) from $1,872 (£1,180).

Steel was up to $545 (£348) from $535 (£341).
