Most metals see little change on LME

The price of three-month copper fell on the LME yesterday in dollars, but remained the same in sterling.

It was priced at $8,854 down from $8,875 on Tuesday. But the changing exchange rate meant that in sterling it stayed at £5,376.

Aluminium was little changed at $2,359 (£1,432) on Wednesday from $2,358 (£1,428) on Tuesday. Alloy remained unchanged at $2,260 but was up slightly in sterling to £1,372 from £1,369 a day earlier.

Lead increased to $2,341 (£1,421) from Tuesday’s $2,319 (£1,405). Nickel dropped however to $20,825 ($12,645) from Tuesday’s $21,025 (£12,735).

Tin fell to $23,250 (£14,117) on Wednesday from $23,635 (£14,316) the day before. Zinc was priced at $2,178 (£1,322) from $2,195 (£1,330) on Tuesday.

Steel as unchanged at $575 but was up a quid to £349.
