Packaging expert Tom Domen has pledged to use data to drive behaviour change in a new role at Eunomia.
The sustainability consultancy named the former Philips, Panasonic and Ecover employee as circular economy innovation lead.
Domen will be tasked with a range of reuse and refill projects as well as strengthening Eunomia’s circular economy services.
He said: “I’ve always been passionate about enabling system-wide change, learning from nature and rethinking innovation at a fundamental level.
“Many of today’s circularity challenges require a complete redesign of how we approach them. The infrastructure we have now is built around collection and recycling, but to create real change, we need to go beyond that.
“We are living in uncertain times, with economic volatility revealing the cracks in our current systems. But with that comes an opportunity to rethink the future, using data-driven models and circular principles to drive meaningful change.”
Eunomia chair Joe Papineschi said he was “thrilled” to welcome Domen to the team.
“As a company that prides itself on aiming for the top of the waste hierarchy, Tom’s experience and strategic vision will play a crucial role in shaping our next phase of growth,” he added.
