PET bottles and HDPE Natural 95/5 rise, paper falls

Plastics saw an increase as PET bottles rose by £20 per tonne and HDPE Natural 95/5 baled by £10, according to last week’s Intelligence report.

Most other plastics such as LDPE 98/2 remained stable. These rises are expected to be temporary.

Non-ferrous metals also saw an increase with copper rising by £100. Other non-ferrous metals such as brass and aluminium were unchanged.

Ferrous metals saw no change in price.

Paper saw a decrease in price as OCC was down by £15 and mixed paper by £6. ONP remained stable.
