Price falls seen for a number of grades in last week’s Intelligence

Last week’s Intelligence report showed that a number of grades had suffered price falls.

Copper lost £75 per tonne, while both brass and aluminium also lost £25 per tonne.

In recycled plastics, £5 per tonne was taken off the price of PET bottles amid rumours that a large buyer was suffering financial difficulties.

Although OCC remained stable, £1 came off the value of mixed paper as the spread between the two started to widen again after tightening in recent weeks.
