Price rises for some recycled plastics, scrap metal eases

Good quality LDPE and HDPE grades saw prices rise last week on the back of the continuing high PRN value.

LDPE 98/2 was up by £10 a tonne, while HDPE plastic bottles saw £5 per tonne added to its value.

However, PP Regrind saw £25 come off its value.

Scrap metal also saw price falls with £25 per tonne coming off both copper and brass grades, but aluminium and ferrous were stable.

Key paper grades were stable this week.
