Reconomy has purchased a fifth US firm as it continues its push across the Atlantic.
The London-based circular economy specialist announced it had acquired American Outsourced Waste and Recycling (AOWR).
The Connecticut-based business has a national network of more than 8,000 vendors and has customers throughout the US and Canada.
It works across the retail, entertainment, logistics and dining sectors
Reconomy acquired Lincoln Waste Solutions in August 2024 and added three more businesses before today’s announcement.
This included picking up New York outfit Complete Solutions & Sourcing and Massachussetts-based Waste Focus in January.
Guy Wakely, chief executive of Reconomy, said the AOWR acquisition was “another step on our journey to attain a leading position in the US”.
He added: “The strategic opportunities for growth across North America are significant”.
