Ramboll environmental chief Jesper Dalsgaard is to take the reins of Danish recycler Combineering, which was purchased by Reconomy last year.
He will become chief executive of the company on 1 August with a remit to accelerate its growth.
Dalsgaard has spent more than seven years at engineering consultancy Ramboll, most recently as managing director of its Environment and Health division.
He has also worked for Maersk and Solar Group. Reconomy said he had “particular expertise in helping international businesses solve sustainability challenges” as well as “a strong track record of leading and growing business divisions”.
Combineering provides large-scale, highly specialised recycling solutions to help businesses maximise recycling rates, reduce waste and slash carbon. The company also offers logistics management, notification services and legal compliance solutions.
When it bought Combineering in February 2023, London-based circular economy specialist Reconomy said the firm’s “history of invention, agility and innovation” matched its own core values.
Reconomy chief executive Guy Wakeley said this month: “We are delighted that Jesper will be leading Combineering at this exciting point in its journey following our acquisition of the brand last year.
“His strong track record of growing business divisions will prove invaluable as we look to accelerate our expansion in Europe and continue on our fast-growth trajectory.”
