Reconomy has made its sixth US acquisition in under 15 months.
The London-based circular economy specialist acquired Connecticut outfit National Waste Associates (NWA).
Reconomy acquired Lincoln Waste Solutions in August 2024 and added four more businesses to the US group before today’s announcement.
This include picking up New York outfit Complete Solutions & Sourcing and Massachussetts-based Waste Focus in January.
It also bought Connecticut’s American Outsourced Waste and Recycling in April and has now acquired NWA from the same state.
Established in 1997 and headquartered in Glastonbury, NWA is an outsourced managed waste services provider managing 2,900 locations for multi-site customers.
Reconomy said its US business was now in the top five waste and recycling management operators in that country.
Chief executive Guy Wakely added: “We are confident that this latest acquisition will be a great addition to our rapidly growing US operation.”
