The price of recycled commodities fluctuated last week as more movement was seen than in recent weeks.
In plastics, film grades saw £20 per tonne come off, according to last week’s Intelligence report, but grades such as HDPE and PP Regrind saw another £25 per tonne added to their value.
The paper sector saw another £2 per tonne added to OCC, but a further £1 per tonne came off mixed paper as the spread between the two widened even further.
While in metals, a further £50 per tonne increase was seen for copper and brass, while aluminium was up £25 per tonne. Aluminium cans were also up by £35 after recent increases on the LME and not enough supply to meet demand.
