Recycled-aluminium beauty applicator launched

Austrian aluminium packaging giant Tubex has launched a make-up applicator created from recycled material.

The company described the MonoSense tube as “a groundbreaking innovation in aluminium tube packaging”.

Made entirely from recycled aluminium, the product is 95 per cent post-consumer material and 5 per cent ex-industrial metal.

It is available to beauty brands in a range of sizes and with “limitless design possibilities” according to Tubex.

Said to be “ideal” for applying products to the lips and eyes, the MonoSense is “designed to delight the senses and champion sustainability” the firm said.

It also claimed the tube offered “exceptional product integrity” as well as “outstanding barrier properties” and was “naturally airtight and lightproof”.

“At Tubex, we are committed to continuously evolving aluminium tube packaging through purposeful innovation and design,” said chief executive Cornelius Grupp.

With the MonoSense, we’re introducing a one-piece aluminium tube with an integrated applicator made entirely from a single material. It combines premium aesthetics, a refined user experience and environmental responsibility.”
