Please note this report just focuses on the waste polymers of ethylene commodity code (391510), as exports of other plastics are relatively small in volume
Exports of this polymer increased in March to 22,798 tonnes from February’s 21,161 tonnes.
The EU remained the major destination with 15,274 tonnes, improving on February’s 14,626 tonnes.
With 6,547 tonnes, much of this was shipped to the Netherlands, up from 5,880 tonnes in February.
Belgium imported 2,486 tonnes, increasing from 1,416 tonnes in the previous month.
Germany fell though to 1,361 tonnes compared to February’s 1,718 tonnes.
Italy was also lower at 1,121 tonnes after 2,321 tonnes went there in February.
Turkey was the most significant destination outside of the EU with 5,883 tonnes, up from 3,924 tonnes the month before.
Malaysia imported 1,092 tonnes, more than doubling February’s 452 tonnes.
